What The People Say
The Hash-It-Out Session with Seshat, packed a heavy punch. Seshat provided great suggestions around marketing, community engagement, and distribution, for an offering that I have been working on for the past year. Her recommendations really helped me to think more expansively about community engagement, and how to approach it with clarity, specificity, and focused intention. In just one session, I was able to get clear on necessary next steps and start to envision how I want to roll out my project.

We are grateful for her guidance and highly recommend her services to any creative team looking to deepen their impact."

Seshat guided me through a transitional period after a life altering health scare. Highly creative, her patience, breadth of experience, adaptability to my limited knowledge of certain technology, and genuine willingness to respect the input of another creative made our sessions pleasurably productive. Some of the things I tucked away played a role in discovering my true raison d’être. “

“I met with Seshat to discuss my 13-year-old son’s art apparel website. She was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend her services! Her insight was thoughtful and valuable, and helped us connect the necessary dots to take my son’s business to the next level.”

“Developing our first social media campaign was a challenging task for us. With zero experience in this content area, we were not sure exactly where to begin or what questions to ask. Seshat offered a variety of comprehensive workshops that informed our cohort of youth on the necessary steps to develop a campaign, including social media analytics, content development, and reaching your campaign audience. Not only is Seshat an expert on this content, but she is also youth friendly! With all of the tools, Seshat shared, our youth are prepared to take the next steps to create and launch their first social media campaign!”

“With SwapDC being for the community, we weren’t profiting much the first 3-years but that all changed after our meetings with Seshat. She helped me see the value in what I was doing and how important aligning with the right businesses can serve SwapDC. Our sponsorship package has helped us to with events. If you’re a small business who needs help obtaining the bag, Seshat is the one to hire. When you’re running a business without a big team, having someone to help you on the other end to bring in funds is necessary. She was patient and such a delight to work with.

“Seshat’s one of those people who is as professional as she is personable. When we first met, I was doing research in her neighborhood. She was kind enough to connect me with other neighbors, and throughout the years, we’ve gotten to know each other. When I had the idea to collect survey data on the neighborhood, she told me that she had that idea, too....naturally, a collaboration was born. We collected survey data, and from the data, Seshat created these dope posters that showcased images from the neighborhood with quotes and statistics about food access. She’s also versatile. From that project, she was the first person I contacted about designing the cover for my forthcoming book. After being patient with me an the publisher, going back and forth on the design, we finally settled on a concept from which the publisher used a captivating image Seshat took as the focal point of the cover. I really hope I get to work with her again on future projects. Her heart for community and for building authentic relationships rings true in all she does. That, to me, is valuable in a world where some people who market themselves as creators forget the relational piece.”

“To work with Seshat, it was an absolute pleasure. Our working relationship started with a need to gage community perceptions and morphed into a true thought partnership, collaborative, cooperative, and innovative. She became a sounding board and an advisor as I navigated the community networks and forged stakeholder relationships, which enhanced our work. Seshat always brings constructive ideas and inclusive perspectives that made working together easy and enjoyable. ”

“Partnering with Seshat at one of my coffeeshop popups was a great experience! Not only is she very easy to work with but she also brings a level of creativity that encourages others to think outside of the box. The earth day project that she curated allowed my customers to not only celebrate our worlds green space but also paralleling that to our immediate community of Deanwood Washington DC. It would be an honor to work with Seshat on a future project!”
RACHEL PACE, OWNER PENNY BREW
“We had the pleasure of collaborating with Seshat to organize an outdoor screening of our Green Corps short documentaries in Deanwood as part of the DeanwoodxDesign project. Seshat was a fantastic collaborator, full of good cheer and positive energy. She enthusiastically helped to promote the event, bringing a diverse representation of the community out to celebrate and experience the films. I truly admired the hard work, dedication and commitment she put forth for the DeanwoodxDesign project. It was a great success and a real model for how communities can embrace art as a means for coming together.”

Seshat is a highly skilled and creative professional who has consistently impressed with her strategic vision and ability to translate that vision into impactful campaigns . Seshat’s work on creating the Beats & Beans discussion series is a testament to their ability to develop innovative concepts and execute them flawlessly. She’s also played a key role in developing and implementing successful social media and partnership strategies, demonstrating their well-rounded expertise in the marketing field. Seshat has been at the forefront of several of my most successful social media rollouts that have resulted in features in the Washington Post, City Paper, and the DCist as well as an increased following on social channels. In addition to their technical skills, Seshat is a collaborative team player who fosters a positive and productive work environment. Her excellent communication skills ensure smooth collaboration across all project phases, from brainstorming which is referred to as "hashing it out" to implementation. I highly recommend Seshat for any organization or individual seeking a talented professional who can deliver exceptional results.

“Energetic! Creative! Visionary! This is how I would describe Seshat. We met because she curated a show called 4/4 at the Our City Festival 2015, which my firm co-presents.
